Sid ` Choosing my Own way of Life

[Selena-Rose Matthews]

Selena-Rose Matthews was not only tired but stressed. Her father just told her that he will not pay for Julliard, the one thing she wanted most and he refused to pay. Now she had to work for a scholarship which was a chance that she feared she would never get. Her voice was good, better than... almost all in her advance choir class. The years spent in the U.K was good for her vocally.

Her dancing, the one thing she was using for the scholarship wasn't up to pare. Her ankles were weaker than most dancers at her level and it would have to take her all year to strengthen them. Not only that, she had her A.P. course to worry about. So that is why, Selena was found in the Dance Hall, the music blaring and with her dancing in front of the mirror.

Sid walked into the dance hall, hoping to get some alone time to play, he had been neglecting his practice, and grunted when the auditorium was not vacant. Grumbling he pushed the double doors, his guitar fret hitting the wall. "No...baby....are you ok?" he cradled his Fender like it was a child, caressing it tenderly. If it wasn't for his macho man behavior, he would of been kissing it just to make sure.

Selena's concentration was broken when the door opened and she found herself on the hardwood floor, her ankle throbbing. "Sh!T." She cursed loudly as she slammed her fist angrily against the floor. "Out!" She growled loudly, not noticing it was Sid who entered the room. "Room is reserved-" She started as she slowly stood up, finally noticing Sid, "oh..." She muttered as she fully stood up, moving her weight to her uninjured ankle. "Sorry."

Sid was still hugging his guitar when he heard screams of pure panic kicking him out of the room "what the..." he looked up and a smirked spread on his lips, waiting for her to finish her ranting so she could look up at spot him. "Stress much?" he pouted, walking over to her. He gently placed his guitar onto the seat and picked her up into his arms, and sat down, Lena on his lap. He began to massage her ankle. "What is wrong? You only get this way when a. you havent seen me in like forever and get jealous, or b, you are stress. So what is stressing you" he wasn't even going to bring up the whole jealous thing, hoping she never found out about Tasha.

Selena released a small squeak when Sid picked her up. A small frown formed and she glanced away. "It's nothing!" She muttered as she reached for her bag and pulled out her ankle wrap. Glancing back at Sid, she frowned more not really wanting to talk about how mean her father was being. "Really... nothing..."

Of everyone Sid knew, it was kinda frightening how much he knew Lena. "You can't lie to me and you are a bad liar anyways. So spill, what your father do?" he narrowed his eyes, growling slightly at the way their parents treated them. Their friendship was more important than their stinking kids. He continued to massage, kissing her forehead. "You can tell me anything, you know that" he pouted, hoping she would fall for it.

Selena's nose wrinkled, "That's not fair you know me too well! I can lie to my brother with ease but you... grr..." She growled as she lightly pulled her ankle out of his hand and started to wrap it up. "Mr. Matthews thinks that a life chasing roles to play on Broadway is a fowl way to spend a life and thinks that I would use that as an excuse to mooch off of him and mom. He is refusing to pay the tuition cost to get into Julliard, where I already received my acceptance and everything but because Mr. Matthews is an @sshole, I have to do a performance piece for the scholarship and compete against hundreds of others girl to get a small chance to get the scholarship." She explained rather quickly, her voice slowly rising as she continued. "So I'm in here working my @ss off when I should be doing my A.P European History homework and my oh-so wonderful brother thinks that I'm being stupid and should just do as Daddy says and go to freakin Harvard. I don't want to go to Bloody Harvard!"

Sid nodded where he needed too, hugging Lena tightly when he thought it was appropriate, but couldn't help but smirk. "Lena, you don't want to go to bloody Harvard? Seriously, listen to yourself you spoiled brat with a silver spoon up her ass!" he laughed, kissing her forehead again. "For starters, if you don't get the scholarship it isn't the end of the world. You will be eighteen and can get into the account your mother provided for you, and if not, I'll pay for it, so chill and kiss me already. Oh and your history paper is already done, should be on top of your desk...." he looked at the time on his wrist watch and smirked wider "about now..." or he will die was his inner thoughts, turning to look at his girlfriend. "Did I miss anything?" he loved being a smart ass, pride himself with it, knowing every detail that bugged Lena, but at the same time knowing she would appreciate it to no end.

"Spoiled?" Selena growled, "I am no-... ok maybe I am but come on, my parents got me everything I wanted because they didn't want to deal with me." She pouted softly. Rolling her eyes she leaned in and gave him an affectionate kiss, "Mom changed it too 21, because my big bro, the prick, says I party too much. Should show her what he's been doing at NYU." She muttered as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"You hired someone to do my work?" Selena said trying her best not to get too annoyed. "I was half way..." Pausing to take a deep breath. "Thank you... I'll do the next one because my conscious can't take cheating at the moment." She whispered softly, hugging him tightly.

Sid raised his brow looking at her confrontationally "and this is any different then?" challanging her. Since when did Sid do his own work, he didn't even take his own test. As long as the money came rolling, the professors didn't care, he only took his music class seriously, knowing he already had a career as a rock star once he finished high school, James with him. All for one and one for all.

"Baby, don't worry, I'll pay for your schooling and once you are twenty one you can pay me back" he smiled his perfectly white straight teeth smile at Lena. "We are going to end up together in the end so I'm not worried." his arms pulled Lena back onto his lap kissing her tenderly on the lips. "So stop stressing and no you are not going to do your next paper, just means you get to spend more time with me" and I don't have to spend that much time with Tasha, he thought. Clearing his throat, his facial expression changed a bit. "You know Tash is in town right?" he looked away, feeling guilty.

Selena pressed her lips together and didn't respond to his question. He knew how she felt about having other people do her work for her and she usually didn't allow Sid to do it for her but at the moment she really didn't want to worry about it.

"Me, worry? No, that's not what I do. I'm so laid back." She said sarcastically as she wiggled her nose. Her hand covered it quickly and gave a small laugh at herself. She shouldn't worry but she couldn't help it. "Don't want you to have to pay for my schooling, its something I want to earn on my own." She muttered as she slowly lowered her hand and shrugged. "But I do like the idea of spending more time together, sorry I've been M.I.A., a lot on my plate... sorry." She remarked before her face lit up at the mention of her best friend. How long has it been since she last saw her. "Really? No I didn't know. Wonder how come she hasn't message me yet."

Sid sticked out his tongue, he was always a sweet guy when James wasn't around. "You have no choice, I'm paying for it, and when you are a famous star, you have me to thank and then can show me off" he chuckled , kissing her cheek, though he would probably be in tour or something. "Spending time together is nice, I haven't seen my girlfriend in a few days, was wondering if she was all a dream." he replied just as sarcastic, poking her nose.

"Yeah I ran into her the other day and we hanged out. She's staying for a while of what she told me, lonely." he cleared his throat hoping to no end that she didn't ask questions and he had to lie about it.

Selena laughed softly, "Oh yeah, can't wait to use you as arm candy." She joked softly and with a small smirk. Her nose wrinkled when he poked it. "Oh yeah, no dream. You're not creative to think of all of this." She retorted, cocking her hip to the side for dramatic effect. But she did add, "Though there isn't much too me, since I am soo small."

"Lonely?" Her voice cracked slightly as she frowned, "Now I feel like a horrible friend." She muttered as she whipped out her phone as started to go through her messages, but none from Tasha. Her frowned deepen but she shook her head.

Sid took Lena's phone and pocketed away. "No, this is my time and I get jealous." he wiggled his brows, his lips making contact with hers for the first time since he interrupted her practice. "You gonna go to the game tonight?" he hissed, not really wanting to go, but if he had the chance to be a bully and make fun of people, he was up to it. "Gonna meet James there, you should come." his kisses traveled to her collar bone, sucking softly. "Or you want to do something else...?"

Selena's mouth fell open when Sid took her phone away. "Hey! I was just checking wasn't going to plan anything with her right now.... " She started but Sid's mouth interrupted her and Sid was her only big weakness. She giggled softly as she wrapped her arms around him, closing her eyes. "I was thinking about it... you know flirt with a few guys, cheer on the team, drink hot cocoa." She teased softly before biting her lower lip. "Aw how I really want to do something else, though..."
